Features of determining the dates of vacations in Tatarstan
Dates of holidays are determined in each particular educational institution before the start of the school year, and charters are drawn up annually in schools that regulate the features of education and recreation. Every August, the management in the person of the director draws up and signs an order establishing the distribution of vacation time, which indicates vacation periods with exact dates.
But in Russia and, accordingly, in the constituent entity of the country of Tatarstan, a federal law is in force, called “On Education in the Russian Federation”. This document sets the standards for the functioning of educational institutions, including the distribution of vacation time. And there are several general and standard for all schools rules of such a law:
- It is forbidden to postpone rest for a period longer than two weeks (relative to the dates recommended by the Ministry of Education).
- You can not reduce the duration of summer vacations by more than a month (students must rest in the summer for at least two months).
- In total, the duration of the vacation throughout the school year should be at least four weeks (summer three months of rest are not taken into account).
In the normal mode of work, schools follow the listed rules, but still, holidays can be postponed in certain cases, such as:
- the announcement of quarantine, because of which students fall behind the generally accepted school curriculum and study large volumes of missed material;
- climatic or weather conditions that are unfavorable and make it impossible to attend schools for a certain period (exceeded rainfall, extremely low or, conversely, high air temperatures);
- force majeure circumstances in a settlement or in a particular school (military operations, disasters, an urgent need for major repairs in the entire building of an educational institution).
Training and vacation options
Currently, Tatarstan practices three options for teaching students: trimesters, quarters and modules. Below are the features of the holidays for each of the listed systems.
The fourth system in Tatarstan and throughout Russia is the classic and the most common. Its essence is that the entire academic year is divided into four parts. The average duration of one quarter is eight weeks, but in Tatarstan schools the duration can vary from seven weeks to a maximum of eleven, since it is very problematic to distribute class time evenly.
With such a system, vacations in 2020, as always, will last a total of four weeks. First graders, as a rule, are entitled to an additional seven days to reduce the load.
The advantages of the quarter system include a full study of bulk materials. During one quarter, students go through complex topics, and before the holidays demonstrate their skills through tests and tests. The main disadvantage is the unevenly distributed load: because of this, students are subjected to increased fatigue.
The trimester system in Tatarstan is practically not used at the moment, and most likely, by the 2020th year, some educational institutions that still practice this scheme will abandon it. The academic year is divided into three equal parts of three months each. As a result, only spring and autumn holidays remain, while winter holidays are not provided. Each vacation period lasts for two weeks, which, taking into account the days off, is about 17-18 days.
Fact! The load in this case is intense, and not all students withstand it, which causes the refusal of most of the Tatarstan and other Russian schools from such a system.
A modular or modular-block system was created on the basis of a trimester scheme. Trimesters, which last for three months and actually cover autumn, winter and spring, are divided into equal parts, that is, in half. Interim holidays are foreseen, the intervals between which are the same - five weeks each. According to the standard, summer holidays last for three months under such a system. Final grades in subjects are set three times a year, namely after each completed trimester.
Note! The duration and duration of the holidays (especially intermediate between the modules within the same trimester) can be adjusted taking into account the situation in the school. So, in the winter period with the introduction of quarantine, rest periods can be reduced to two to three days or completely removed.
Such a system in Tatarstan is becoming more popular every year and, possibly, in 2019-2020 many schools will go to it. The main advantage is a full long rest due to the increased number of vacations. The burden on students is reduced. After the first module of the trimester, they regain strength and track grades that are corrected in the second block. It is convenient and rational.
But there are some disadvantages. Firstly, within one module, teachers may not have time to complete voluminous topics. Often after a break, students forget some of the material, are forced to again delve into the specifics. This makes learning a bit more difficult. Secondly, while the modular-block system is only being introduced and practiced by a small number of schools: as a result, students go on vacation at periods different from the rest time of peers from other educational institutions.
School holidays in Tatarstan have deadlines determined by educational institutions and regulated by the Russian Ministry of Education. Information from the article will allow you to plan for the school year entertainment and other events, taking into account the vacation periods.
